Due to the number of requests, we are now offering our signature icing in 6 pound pails (Covers 1 double layer 12″ round cake) for those of you who are the Do It Yourself types.  We start with REAL premium butter and confectioners sugar, stir in our proprietary combination of five different extracts and it makes for an experience so smooth & sweet  that one our clients  stated it best. “It’ll make you want to slap your grandma.” I’m certainly not condoning slapping anybody but it’s darn good, even in Coffee!!! We do not inventory this product, it’s made by appointment only and lead times for this product is as little as 24 hours so you are assured only the freshest possible product.

47 pound Ambulance cake

This monster of a cake weighed in right at 47 pounds and is covered in a layer of fondant.  The wheels are solid chocolate. This cake is for a surprise birthday for a new client of Kenfections, Liz G.  The plan was to feed 50 people but it came in right around 80 servings.  I’ll post photos from the party just to give you an idea of the scale of this custom cake creation.

Wiggles iced birthday cake

This Wiggles themed birthday cake was a last minute creation we completed for one of our loyal clients, Jennifer B. of Charlotte NC.  Jennifer’s first custom cake was the Thomas The Tank cake earlier this year.  The surprise with this cake is that the cake is checkerboard Blue & Red inside. I will try to post a photo of the cake design once Jennifer cuts into it.  This birthday cake is 3 layers with yellow Kenfections Signature Icing between each layer. The stars are made of solid white chocolate colored to match the Wiggles theme. This cake will serve about 10 people.

Butterfly Cake

Thank You David B of Charlotte!! This golden vanilla butterfly birthday cake features our proprietary icing along with white chocolate butterflies as the antlers. The fondant flowers as well as the decorations on the cake are glitter dusted and shimmer in light.  This cake feeds approximately 12-15 people.

Popular little cake that served 18-20 kids

Our first attempt at whipped icing upon the request of the client, this birthday cake is white vanilla cake with whipped icing and fondant accents.  Not much detail to this Hello Kitty themed cake that fed 8 kidos. The icing is much more of a challenge to keep in place but tasted quite good.
