My Little Pony Cake
A repeat client of ours, Deborah called with a specific request for a My Little Pony themed creation for her daughter. This marble cake features our signature icing and sealed with fondant. We blended the fondant to make the leopard print on the top tier and the bottom tier we embedded her daughter’s name right into the fondant. This is an example of our smallest cake which serves up to 18 guests. Again, Thanks Deborah for entrusting us yet again to make your daughters birthday a fun event.
Elegant 40th Jewel Birthday Cake

This 40th Birthday Jewel Cake was for a client all the way from Atlanta, GA. The cake is two tiers of chocolate and covered in a generous layer of our signature icing, everything then sealed in marshmallow flavored fondant. The bow is made from gumpaste and a lot of patience. The numbers are gumpaste as well and finished off with a set of non-edible rhinestones as well as the silver dots.
Wedding Cupcakes
A return client of ours from Charlotte, Dinah, asked if we could create giant cupcakes for her wedding. With one small challenge though. It was an outdoor celebration in the summer and the cupcakes needed to hold up to some of the heat as well as “No paper liners around the outside”. Don’t let the “Cup” term throw you off as it did me. These 54 giant cupcakes were actually 54 “miniature wedding cakes”. These babies were huge and took a whole lot longer than expected, to create. The roundness of the tops of these are NOT CAKE but a mound of icing covered in a circle of embossed fondant. The center of the blue flowers are actually peppermints. Once again we would like to thank Dinah for returning to Kenfections for her custom cake creation. Wouldn’t you know it, it turned out to be exactly 100 degrees!
Graduation Topsy Turvy Cake
This topsy turvy graduation cake features three different types of cake. The base is red velvet, the middle is chocolate and the top is marble cake. Everything is covered in fondant and features our proprietary butter cream icing underneath. This cake serves up to 30 guests. We’d like to Thank Deborah as well as Candace from Charlotte for her creative design work and allowing us to bring their one of a kind Northwest Cabarrus 2010 Graduation Cake to life.
WWE RAW Cake
It was only a matter of time before we saw this request come across our email. The WWE RAW Cake featuring Matt Hardy & Rey Mysterio Jr. getting set to face off is a butter cream iced marble creation covered in fondant. The wrestlers are Flex Force brand action figures that also served as a present for the birthday boy. Unfortunately the construction and materials used for the ring ropes and posts have to remain a secret due to how many times it took to get it right. Would LOVE to do this cake again for another WWE fan. This particular creation served 20 guests.
