Cakes centered around sports is fast becoming a theme of choice.  The uniqueness of this cake is that it appears to be a checkered flag of chocolate & vanilla once the you cut through the three layers of cake.  The icing is our proprietary butter cream recipe and the basketball fondant pieces mimic the taste of a creamcicle “Push Up” Footballs are made from modeling chocolate.

Created for a new client of ours, this Little Prince birthday cake took extraordinarily long due to the fondant crowns not wanting to cooperate.  They kept falling, cracking & wrinkling until the third attempt.  The double layer. three tier cake cake is vanilla with real butter cream icing.  The cake came in at a sizable, 35lbs!!  Lots of sugar and butter.   If you are wondering what the letters that are near the top of the crown represent, they spell the birthday boy’s name all the way around the crown.” Jayden”

The smaller cake is for 1year old Jayden the birthday boy to delve right into and wear as much of it as possible. Here’s the result of combining a 1 year old with their own cake……priceless.

This Rubber Ducks Baby Shower themed cake was designed for one of our returning clients who is throwing a baby shower at the office for a friend.  This golden yellow cake is triple stacked with butter cream icing between each layer. The bubbles are edible but the two rubber ducks are obviously not.  This cake serves up to 15 “comfortably”.

Embossed baby block cakes

The Red Velvet cake features an embossed appearance and is really four cakes in one. Our signature Butter Cream icing is underneath each fondant covered alphabet block.  This cake is for a brand new client of Kenfections who was very specific on the type of cake, theme, and colors of fondant that they wanted. The accents were something we threw in to liven the cake up a bit. There was a good bit of handcrafted design work done in order to achieve the embossed appearance in the short time we had to turn this cake around.

Fondant Baby boy shower cake

It may seem like our favorite color is blue these past few months with all of these boy cakes, but it’s just the way the world turns right now.  Somebody besides our own Krissie girl, have a girl!!!.  This custom designed cake was a quickie I only had 3 hours to do from scratch to finish. Cake is a golden vanilla with butter cream icing underneath our secret recipe flavored fondant.
