UNC Tarheels Cake

This custom UNC Tarheels birthday cake was a collaborative design effort with a brand new client of Kenfections here in the Charlotte area. Britt wanted his wife’s 30th birthday to be something she would not forget. We “bounced” a few ideas back and forth for the cake’s theme until we came to the idea for a UNC Tarheel’s theme in honor of his wife who’s an Alumni &  LOVES her Tarheels. This creation is really three different cakes that combine to serve over 100 of Britt’s and Julie’s closest friends and relatives.  The cake is half vanilla and half chocolate double layered with our signature butter cream icing. Everything you see in the photo, including the springs that represent the basketball’s bouncing, are edible.  Again I must thank Britt & Julie for trusting Kenfections for their first cake with us which had to be a hit, after all, you only turn 30 once!
